Our Client located near Downey, CA needs a Desktop Technician for a 1 month Contract

Provide support and maintenance of computer desktop environment by resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Companys equipment including stores, telecom systems, cell phones, PCs, printers, servers, UPSs and related I.T. equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.
Basic MS Office skills are required (word, excel minimum)
Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
Maintain the asset management system as per IT Policy
Follow up with users to ensure that issues have been resolved
Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
Manage setup and deployment for new hardware, images and software
Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
Issue and track purchase orders as per IT policy and procedures
Supervise other helpdesk members
Maintain weekly helpdesk work schedules
Maintain weekly on-call schedules
Maintain desktop images for corporate and store PCs
Track and arrange for the proper disposal of retired assets
Provide M.A.C. support for corporate phone system
Provide mobile phone and mobile device administration; both management and break fix
Provide preventative maintenance services as requested for all I.T. equipment
Evaluate proposed new technologies & solutions
Develop Helpdesk operating processes using the helpdesk application package
Develop and provide reporting as requested on helpdesk SLAs

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
