Our SpringHill Suites Downey is looking for a Sales Coordinator to join the sales team.
The ideal candidate will assist group, corporate and leisure Sales with on-property service and customer relations.
Key Leadership Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison and support for Sales at the Property level.
Attend property Staff Meeting, General Manager briefings, and other appropriate department / management meetings to ensure communication between departments, General Manager and Corporate Sales.
Review and report sales productivity highlights at weekly property staff meetings and weekly revenue management calls.
Compile and summit weekly productivity and activity report.
Serve as liaison between property, customer and Corporate Sales.
Work with the Corporate Sales to set and complete quarterly sales and service goals.
Actively follow up with all in-house sales leads and leads provided.
Use displacement analysis, occupancy forecast, area knowledge, and the advice of the hotel general manager and Regional Sales Manager to quote competitive group and corporate rates.
Create, send, and follow up group and corporate proposals in a timely manner.
Create, maintain, and follow up on all group and corporate contracts.
Front Desk Support; Shifts at front desk based on hotel need Provide breaks for front desk when requested.
Business Development telemarketing (cold calls), internet prospecting, and SWOT analysis to support sales growth.
Actively prospect and procure few sources for revenue generation through group/ tour contacts, corporate leads, and meeting space inquiries based on business demands.
Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of High School Graduation or equivalent Must have experience in guest contact areas of the hospitality industry.
Hotel front desk, sales, catering or event planning experience desirable.
