Downey, CA Downey, CA Full-time Full-time $51,000 - $52,000 a year $51,000 - $52,000 a year 20 hours ago 20 hours ago 20 hours ago POSITION OPPORTUNITY The Production Lead (Swing Shift) position is responsible for all activities and supervision of the Swing Shift technicians and all production/processing of customer parts.
This position will additionally be responsible for maintaining clean and proper housekeeping standards consistent with the facility standard operating procedures and the CEO requirements.
The Swing Shift Lead must be able to maintain, monitor basic technician documentation required to accurately track the customer hardware according to the required cleaning specification.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities Ensure and adhere to quality management system (QMS) processes/procedures at all times.
Provide technical, quality and production leadership for the Swing Shift team.
Hold and facilitate pre/postproduction shift meetings with Swing Shift team Provide daily updates to planning and management teams on status of jobs Must be able to set goals, track progress, and monitor technician output Must be flexible with long hours and weekend support when required Must be able to identify difficult/complex jobs and provide guidance/instruction Review the Process Travelers for understanding of the process requirements.
Provide training instruction, verbal, and written feedback (positive and needs improvement), and assist technicians as needed Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements Review weekly labor hours and overtime hours with Production Supervisor Consistently and accurately verify inventory of incoming orders before processing begins Recognizes issues and opportunities of improvement with jobs and direct questions to qualified personnel Check processing systems/equipment for correct flow rate, temperature, frequency, chemical consistency, etc.
Organize, clean and maintain work area in accordance with Astro Pak's Standard Operating Procedures and CEO (Clean, Efficient, and Organized) initiatives Ensure safety requirement for personnel and customer hardware are met in accordance with Astro Pak's Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Manual Provide suggestions and feedback to Production Supervisor and upper management for operational, equipment, and procedures improvements.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Manufacturing and/or cleanroom experience preferred.
Cleanroom Technical skillset and experience is required.
Related
Experience:
3 to 5 years work experience in a precision cleaning company.
More experience is desired.
Overtime:
Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required.
10-20% overtime to be expected.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to read and write instructions and correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, clients and other employees within the organization.
Math requirement to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The pay for this position has a base hourly pay rate of $25 to $25.
